Cassandra L. Sims, 32, of Austin, Minnesota, died suddenly on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Zumbrota, Minnesota.

Cassandra Lynn was born on Nov. 14, 1984, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to Douglas and Shirley (Cohenour) Coffelt Sr. At the age of 5 years-old her family moved to Brownsdale, Minnesota. Cassandra attended Hayfield schools. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, and was loved and will be dearly missed by her family.

Cassandra is survived by her children, Parker, Hannah, Michael, and Andrew; her mother, Shirley Maier of Brownsdale; brothers, Doug (Becky) Coffelt and Gordon Coffelt both of Little Falls, Minnesota, and Kevin Coffelt of St. Paul, Minnesota; sisters, Angela Coffelt of Little Falls, Marsha Glasow of St. Paul, and Lola (Shawn) Olson of Austin; and aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Maurice; paternal and maternal grandparents; father, Douglas M. Coffelt Sr.; brother, William; sister, Shirl; and cousin, Tim.

Public visitation to celebrate Cassandra’s life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin.
