Everyone loves a discount.

If you are 55 or over and haven’t taken advantage of the defensive driving classes yet for your 10 percent discount on your car insurance we are offering an eight-hour class needed.

From 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on July 10 and 11 at the Mower County Senior Center each night will be half of the 8 hour class. If you haven’t taken a class yet, now is your chance.

We don’t offer them very often. Before you can take a refresher class you need to take an eight-hour starter class.

The cost for the class for senior center members is $20 and $23 for non-members.

The next four-hour defensive driving class is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11. This is a refresher course needed every three years after the eight hour class is taken for a continued 10 percent discount on your insurance. Cost for members is $16 and $19 for non-members.

You may not be old now, but if you’re lucky, one day you will be. We look forward to seeing you at our many programs at the Ssenior center.
