Alice Marie Kroneman, 83

Alice Marie Kroneman, 83, passed away on July 8, 2017, surrounded by family, at Mercy Medical Hospital from complications after surgery.Alice was born Jan. 13, 1934, at home in Mower Co. Minnnesota, to the parents Carl and Ottilie Kirchner. She joined her three sisters, Maleta, Mildred, Corrine and one brother Alvin.

Alice was baptized Feb. 4, 1934. by Rev. Schroeder. She was confirmed on Aug. 29, 1948 by Rev. E. G. Gaede at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Elkton, Minnesota. She graduated in 1951 from Rose Creek High School.

She married the love of her life, Elmer Kroneman on Jan. 13,1952, and they were blessed with three children: Kenneth, Donna, and Connie. Elmer and Alice were always together, through 64 years of loving faithful marriage. Alice worked along side Elmer farming.

Alice was active and an officer in the Ladies Aid. She served at many funerals, anniversaries, and the St. Peter Fish Fry. Alice and Elmer were life long members of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, Iowa.

Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, boating, fishing, cooking, bird watching, farming and leading 4-H. She also enjoyed crocheting, and made each grandchild an afghan for their graduation.

Alice is survived by her children, Kenneth (Linda) Kroneman of Osage, Iowa, Donna (Jack) Slowinski of Kasson, Minnesota, and Connie Kroneman of Minnetonka, Minnesota; grandchildren, Lisa (Adam) Lalim, Michelle Slowinski, Mike (Jennifer) Slowinski, Scott (Dee) Slowinski, Renae Kroneman, and Travis (Megan) Kroneman; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Lily, and Noah Lalim, Manyah Schneider, Aubrey and Addison Slowinski, Peyton and Caydence Kroneman, Chantra and Diane Sum; great-great-grandchildren: Jessalyn and Jayden Kidd; sister Mildred Ballantyne: and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer; parents Carl and Ottilie Kirchner; sisters, Maleta, Corrine; brother Alvin; brother-in-laws: Sonke, Willard, Lloyd, Herbert, and Harvey; sister-in-laws: Ruth, Dorothy, Gertrude, and Arlene.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2017, at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church Toeterville, with Rev. Lance Kittleson officiating. Following the service, friends and family are invited to lunch. Burial will be in First Lutheran Cemetery St. Ansgar.
