Motorists on Highway 218 north in Austin at Interstate 90 will encounter lane closures starting on Monday

Repairs will be made to the concrete approach panels on the road. The left lanes in each direction will be closed, but traffic will continue to use the road, while Minnesota Department of Transportation crews conduct repairs. The work is expected to extend the life and safety of the roadway.

Work is expected to be completed later this month.

MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
