Juveniles caught at pool cited for curfew violations

Three juveniles were cited for curfew violations after someone spotted juveniles at the Austin Municipal Pool after hours.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call of juveniles at the Austin Municipal Pool at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, the juveniles scattered.

Three juveniles, an 11-year-old, 13-year-old and 14-year-old, were found nearby. They were not wet, but were cited for curfew violation and turned over to their parents.

Checkbook, wallet among items stolen from vehicle

A checkbook, wallet and purse were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at the 900 block of Second Avenue Northeast at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday. The victim stated a checkbook, wallet and a silver purse with a gold zipper were stolen from her unlocked Chevy Monte Carlo parked in a driveway.

The purse and wallet contained a small amount of cash, credit cards and her ID. She called the bank to cancel her credit cards. Police currently have no suspects.
