Freedom Fest parade route returns to just Main Street

The start of this year’s Freedom Fest Parade is returning to North Main Street.

The 11 a.m. parade and 10:45 a.m. Mini Piggy Fun Run will both start on Tuesday on Main Street north of Eight Place Northwest near Bremer Bank, while parade units will lineup on Main Street near Hormel Foods Corp’s south corporate offices. The parade, which will span about a mile, will again continue down Main Street to Bandshell Park.

This route returns the start to it’s former location after a few years of starting at City Hall and running a block on Fourth Avenue Northeast before turning south on Main Street.
