Spring has sprung and Pacelli’s Kindergarten Prep and Tiny Shamrock classes had the privilege of visiting SuperFresh Produce, Garden and Bakery Center in Austin to learn more about how plants grow.

After focusing on plants and flowers in class for the past few weeks, our preschool students were truly able to put their knowledge to the test as they toured the garden center.

The preschoolers were able to make connections by taking what they have learned in the classroom and applying it to the variety of plants they saw within the greenhouses.

In addition to the vibrant tour the staff provided for us, we were also able to enjoy cookies fresh from the bakery, and even plant a flower just in time for the perfect Mother’s Day gift! The staff at SuperFresh were exceptional tour guides who welcomed us with an abundance of smiles and countless bits of information to enhance our students’ learning and understanding.

Our students are able to flourish further into their educational endeavors when they are provided with hands-on opportunities for growth such as this.
