Y’s women

Y’s Women met May 11 at the Hormel Historic Home for a salad pot luck supper.

The program was given by the Austin Fire Department. The firemen spoke on ways to keep our homes safe by making sure the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide are working and of ways to avoid kitchen fires.  A nice service of the fire department is that they will come to our homes and help us with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors if help is needed.

Plans were made for the next season. Sharon Jensen was thanked for her work in planning the programs.

Dessert was served by the hostesses Marlene Fox and Pat White.

Meetings will resume in September with an outing. Callers will call with information.
