Robert A. Hartman, 91 of Taopi, Minnesota died Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Mayo Health Systems Austin emergency room.

Robert Arthur Hartman was born July 20, 1925 at Saline, Michigan, the son of George and Bertha (Esch) Hartman. He graduated from the Dexter, Michigan High School and attended college at Peoria, Illinois. Robert served in the United States Air Force and was married to Shirley Naebeck on May 28, 1949, at the Scio Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In 1968 the Hartman family moved to Taopi, where Robert operated the family farm that he dearly loved.

Robert is survived by his wife: Shirley Hartman, Taopi; son: Wayne Grant (Shirley) Hartman, Ames, Iowa; daughters: Jeanette Marie Arnold, Covington, Washington, Karen Mildred Hartman, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Nancy Diane Hartman, Eden Prairie, Minnesota; nine grandchildren: Rebecca, Bernadette, Anthony, Lindsey, Brean, Erin, Rachel, Naomi and Nowai; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Adams Funeral Home, Adams, Minnesota, with the Rev. Jeremy Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Taopi, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
