Richard D. Bakke, 71, of Brainerd, Minnesota, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away April 15, 2017.

Richard was loved by his wife of 50 years, Terry (Severson) Bakke, daughter of Andy and Esther Severson. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Ruth) Bakke, and their children, Heidi, Ryan and Christoph; sisters, Reta (Roger) Draayer, Bonnie (Jeff) Rose and their children, Erika and Kyle, and Barb (Barry) Fritz and their children, Justin and Jessica; sisters-in-law, Ann (Virg) Lundberg and their son, Darrin Mitchell, and Kim (Dwayne) Walker and their children, Shaina, Jared and Jacob; nieces, Nichol and Roberta VanDorn; and several great nieces and nephews. He will be very truly missed by all of us.

He was preceded in death by his 4 ½ year old son, Tait Richard Bakke; and his parents, Pete and Doris Bakke.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at Faith Church in Austin. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until the time of service.
