Raymond Floyd Crump, 72, died on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, of complications from a recent fall.

He was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Austin, Minnesota, to Floyd and Ruth (Berry) Crump. A 1963 Austin High School graduate, Ray served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963-1967. In 1963, Ray and Barbara Loberg were united in marriage and had three children. The couple later divorced. Ray made his living as a sheet metal worker, and belonged to the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He worked in this industry in Rochester, Minnesota, Minneapolis, and Las Vegas, Nevada, where he lived until his retirement. In 1996, Ray married Randie Schulberg in Las Vegas. The couple recently divorced.  Ray loved the outdoors and trap shooting. While living in Las Vegas, he was the Nevada State Doubles Trap Shooting Champion. He also enjoyed practical jokes and playing cards. Ray most recently lived in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, and enjoyed his winters in Texas. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Survivors include his son, Brent (Jeanne) Crump of Austin; his daughters, Jennifer Kiehne and Jennelle Stemper, both of Byron, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Allison Crump, Bennett and Jordan Oelkers, Haylie (Zach) Carlson, and Reese and Curtis Stemper; one great-grandson, Chett Carlson; his sister, Karen (Don) Stilwell of Austin; his aunt, Shirley Cummings of San Diego, California; dear friends Craig and Jane Bishop of Blooming Prairie; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ruth Crump.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ray from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Eagles Club in Austin. Friends and family are invited to gather in his honor. Memorials can be directed to the Crump family or recipient of donor’s choice.
