Randall Odegaard, 68, died Thursday May 4, 2017, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Randy was born Aug. 30, 1948, in Cando, North Dakota, to Alfred and Ruby Odegaard. Randy served his country during the Vietnam War and he retired from the U.S. Army National Guard. Randy married Barb Ziebell and later divorced. Randy married Diana Johnson and they divorced.

Randy spent most of his working life as a machinist. He liked to gamble, play bingo, fish, work in the garage, build things and watching the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins games.

Randy is survived by his children, Melissa (Steve) Odegaard of Altura, Minnesota, Chad (Carol) Odegaard of St. Charles, Minnesota, Amber Odegaard and Michael (Andrea) Odegaard, both of Austin, Minnesota; mother, Ruby Peterson of Rochester; his sister, Shirley (Bob) Malecha of Rochester; nieces, Tonja Odegaard and Michelle Miller; five grandchildren, Sierra, Deanna, Riley, Cailin and Alexis; special friends, Linda Holland and Karen Njemanze; and his fur baby, Gunner.

Randy was proceeded in death by his father, Alfred Odegaard.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, at Rochester Cremation Services. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston.
