Mary Kathleen Oswald, 93, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 2016, at her home in Blooming Prairie.

Mary Kathleen Allen was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Cresbard, South Dakota, the daughter of Loren and Rose (Harrison) Allen. She attended school in South Dakota and graduated from high school in Kasson, Minnesota. On June 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to Harrison Oswald Jr. at the First Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie. In the early years of their marriage, Mary followed Harrison with his many stops with his military service, before returning to Minnesota. After returning to Minnesota, she was a saleswoman for Shaklee Products for many years. Harrison died on Sept. 16, 2004.

Survivors include, three sons, Gregory (Cindy) Oswald of Big Sky, Montana, Jeffrey Oswald of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Randall (Sarah) Oswald of Rochester, Minnesota; one daughter, Mary Leta Oswald of Mill Valley, California; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister, Jeanette Clark of Blooming Prairie; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Blooming Prairie Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Fennell officiating. All are welcome for the committal service and a luncheon following at First Baptist Church in Blooming Prairie. Services prearranged and performed by Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home.
