The Blooming Prairie baseball team hung with Mankato Loyola for much of the night, but it couldn’t finish the job as it lost 4-3 on the road Friday.

With the game tied at 3-3, Loyola (17-3 overall) won the game with a one-out walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning.

“It was obviously disappointing to lose, but at the same time there were a lot of positives to take out of this game,” BP head coach Matt Kittelson said. “Right now we’re playing against ourselves and we’re trying to limit errors. We did that tonight. It was a boost in confidence for us.”
