Hayfield softball team shows its power in wins over Cannon Falls and Byron

The Hayfield softball team closed out its regular season with a pair of wins as it topped Cannon Falls 12-2 in five innings and it beat Byron 14-4 in six innings Hayfield Thursday.

Eighth grader Jenna Jacobsen had a grand slam and five RBIs and Kyal Heydt had two homers and five RBIs for Hayfield (13-6 overall, 7-4 HVL) in the win over Byron and Kate Kruger had a homer and four RBIs in the win over Cannon Falls.
