Blooming Prairie splits a pair of games

The Blooming Prairie softball team split its two games during a triangular Saturday in Randolph.

The Blossoms lost 7-5 to Goodhue. The Blossoms suffered from costly errors and a stalled offense.

“Had the bases loaded with no outs in the top of the fifth and left them stranded,” Head coach Lonnie Lembke said.

Riauna Bishop took the loss giving up eight hits walking five and striking out two. Elly Strunk and McKenna Hein each went 2-for-4 with Strunk hitting a two-run home run.

BP won game two 3-2 over Randolph. This time Strunk was in the circle, getting the win while giving up three hits, walking three and striking out five.

Bria Baldwin was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
