Blossoms get past WEM to win 11th straight

The Blooming Prairie softball team picked up its 11th straight win when it topped Waterville-Elsyian-Morristown (10-6 overall, 4-4 Gopher) 7-6 in eight innings on the road Thursday.

The Awesome Blossoms (12-2 overall, 8-1 Gopher) took a 7-4 lead in the top of the seventh inning when Maya Lembke knocked in two runs and Julia Worke knocked in a run. WEM was able to score two runs in the bottom of the eighth, but its rally came up one run short.
