The Blooming Prairie baseball team beat Faribault Bethlehem Academy (3-13 overall, 3-9 Gopher) 8-2 in BP Thursday.

BP (4-13, 2-9) had just one error and three walks as it was able to stay consistent in the win. Jack Abbe picked up the mound win by scattering nine hits.

“The biggest thing was the three walks,” BP head coach Matt Kittelson said. “In our last few games we’ve had 10 walks and 12 walks. You start giving up free passes and a few hits and runs will score. Today we had minimal walks and we were able to get out of innings.”
