Ashlyn Brandt of Austin will be competing in the Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships in Mounds View Minnesota May 7. She won the southeast district singles with a 680 scratch series and was number one in the state for district qualifying in the girls 20 and under age bracket at age 16. Brandt will be honored at the state tournament before competition begins. The winner of the state tournament earns scholarship money, a free trip and spending money to the Junior Gold tournament in Cleveland, Ohio.
