Austin boys golfers take third in Rochester triangular
The Austin boys golf team finished in third place at the Rochester triangular Tuesday.
Austin finished with a team score of 368, and Century and Winona both shot a 341, with the Panthers winning the meet on a tie breaker.
Noah Bawek led the Packers with an 86.
“We need to find a way to get four scores in the 80s, which would allow us to be more competitive,” Austin head coach Matt Raso said. “We have some guys capable of breaking 90, but it just hasn’t happened thus far. The game of golf requires dedication, an optimistic mind set, and attention to detail.”
Austin scoring: Noah Bawek, 86; Chase Callahan, 91; Matias Parada, 91; Garett Ruroden, 100; Brayden Merritt, 101; Jordan Wilson, 102
