Duplicate Bridge

Tuesday, April 12, six tables played at the Mower County Senior Center. First place, Gene Mucho and Ron Peters; second place,  Larry Crowe and Bill Momsen; third place, John Liesen and Rick Stroup; fourth place, Joyce Crowe and Millie Seiver; fifth place, Judy Bungum and David Solomson; sixth place, Gail and Ray Schmidt.

Wednesday, April 13, four tables played at the Mower County Senior Center. First place, Eunice Michaelis and Warren Behrends; second place, Carolyne Higgins and Russ Valle; third place, Dave Ring and Stan Schultz; fourth place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters; fifth place, Joyce Crowe and Millie Seiver

Players were from Austin, Albert Lea, Adams and Rose Creek. All bridge players are encouraged to join us at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and noon on Wednesdays.

Y Women

Y’s women met April 13 at the Hormel Historic Home. Sherrie Hansen was the program speaker. She spoke of her love of writing and of the books she has written. They are available at Sweet Reads.

The business meeting was conducted by Anita Ulwelling. Hostesses were Carol Lembrick and Georgiann Simonson.

The last meeting of the season is May 11 at the Hormel Home. We will meet at 4:30 p.m. to plan the programs for next year.  A salad pot luck will follow at 5:30 p.m. The program will be the Austin Fire Department.
