The Austin boys tennis team lost 6-1 to Northfield on the road Tuesday.
Josh Brehmer won the No. 2 singles match for the Packers (1-2 overall, 1-2 Big Nine) and Chris Kirchgatter put up a solid fight at No. 4 singles.
“I was really pleased with the effort across the board today,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “The matches at No. 4 single and No. 3 doubles were very close and could have gone either way. Josh Brehmer played the best match he has played so far this year. He played at very high level today. We continue to get better and we will continue to work hard as the season goes on.”
