June A. Camerer, 83, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, at her home. June Arlene Mace was born June 8, 1933, in Grand Meadow, Minnesota, to Frank and Stella (Myres) Mace.
After attending Grand Meadow schools, June married Norman Opsahl in 1951. They had four children together and were later divorced. In 1978 she married Dennis Camerer in Austin. Dennis died in 1980 while the couple was living in Wyoming. June worked at Kinsman/Johnson Floral for 10 years, and then as a dietary aide at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home for more than 20 years. She retired in 2003. June enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles, many of which she had framed. Her cat, Ellie Mae, was very special to her. June was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children, Richard “Rick”(Jolie) Opsahl of Neola, Utah, Luanne Morgan of Austin, and Gary Opsahl (Ruth Arens), also of Austin; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis; her daughter, Beverly, in 2001; her brother, Morris Mace; and her sister, Ivyll.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Elizabeth Endicott officiating. June’s family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society or recipient of donor’s choice.
