A woman and two children suffered injuries Wednesday when the vehicle they were in was hit by another vehicle that had crossed the center line and into the path of their car.
The three were seen at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. Their conditions are not known and they were not identified by Austin police.
According to the report, officers were called at 7:50 a.m. to the intersection of Fourth Street and Sixth Avenue Northwest.
A 41-year-old male was driving his vehicle southbound on Fourth Street when another vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign in front of him.
In order to miss the vehicle, the driver swerved, crossing the center line and into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by the 25-year-old woman with two children, ages 7 and 9, inside.
Both vehicles suffered significant front-end damage.
The man was not injured. The woman and two children were transported to the hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.
