Suspicious activity leads police to 28 grams of marijuana

A man is facing drug charges after trying to flee police in the Riverside Arena parking lot.
Austin police arrested Anthony Donaghue of Austin after responding to a call of suspicious activity at the Riverside Arena parking lot on Monday at 3:59 p.m.
Donaghue, 23, and another individual were asked by police to step out of a vehicle, but Donaghue attempted to run and was chased and caught by police, according to Chief Brian Krueger,
Police found 28 grams of marijuana, several plastic bags and a scale.
Police questioned and released the second individual, an 18-year-old man.
Donaghue is facing potential charges of obstructing the legal process and fifth-degree drug possession with intent to sell.
The Mower County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the report to determine if charges should be brought against the second individual.
