Roger Julson, 83, of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, died Sunday March 26, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Saint Marys Campus, in Rochester, Minnesota.
He was born Nov. 6, 1933, to Elgar and Virginia (Wadsworth) Julson on the family farm in Clayton Township, Mower County. Roger attended country school and, at the age of 16, went to work and live with Jesse and Helen Ronne. He liked taking care of animals, listening to old time music, making homemade ice cream, cookies and visiting with friends and family. Children were often drawn to Roger, as evidenced were the many pictures of children on his lap helping him take a nap. Roger was a gentle man from a gentle family.
