The Riverland Community College baseball team won three of its first four games to start the season in Tuscon, Ariz.

The Blue Devils swept Presentation JV by scores of 14-0 and 11-3 Sunday and RCC lost to Miles Community College 3-2 in eight innings and beat Aurora University JV 5-1 Monday.

The Blue Devils (3-1 overall) hit five homers and scored 25 runs in the two games on Saturday, but they finished Monday with just 10 total hits and seven runs.

“They had too easy of a time on Sunday and they were humbled today,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “Baseball is a humbling game.”

RCC had led MCC 2-1, but it allowed two unearned runs to lose in the bottom of the eighth.
