Austin’s Norton advances to state diving finals

Austin freshman Riley Norton had a strong debut at the Class A state swimming and diving preliminaries in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis Thursday.
Norton advanced to the finals with a score of 220.50 after his first round of dives.
Jack Cuddy of Northfield leads the field with a score of 308.05.
Norton will dive in the finals noon Saturday.
