Christianson racks up a triple double as LP girls beat Schaeffer Academy

The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team had a pair of players step up with career best efforts and it broke an LP record as it beat Schaeffer Academy (8-13 overall, 6-8 SEC) 92-28 in Rochester Monday.

LP (17-4 overall, 13-0 SEC) hit a team-record 14 three-pointers, freshman Olivia Christianson had the first team triple double since 2014 and a career-high 20 points to go along with her 10 steals and 11 rebounds, and junior Kendal Truckenmiller had a career-high 20 points.

The Athletics opened the second half on a 33-0 run over a 10-minutes stretch.

We played sloppy in the first half,” LP head coach Justin Morris said. “I think there was definitely a hang over from our Maranatha game Saturday. We had a little heart to heart at halftime about defensive effort and energy. I was really proud of our second half.”
