The Hayfield girls basketball team had its 12-game winning streak snapped when it lost 49-43 to Waseca in its Showcase in Hayfield Saturday.

Sophia Waldner hit a three-pointer to pull Hayfield within 43-40 with 1:08 left in the game, but that was as close as the Vikings would get. The Bluejays opened with a 17-4 run over the first 10 minutes of the game.

Maggie Streightiff had 10 points to lead the Vikings (12-2 overall).
