Rebel girls shut down Chatfield

The Southland girls basketball team cranked up the intensity on the defensive end of the court to beat Chatfield (3-14 overall, 3-9 Three Rivers) 59-36 on the road Friday.
“The girls played really aggressive defense. That’s what got us this win,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said. “Bri Johnson played exceptional on defense. This is the first time in a long time that we’ve swept Chatifeld.”
McKendry Kennedy had 25 points for the Rebels (4-8 overall, 4-6 Three Rivers).
