FRIDLEY — Authorities say a man walking along a main thoroughfare in Fridley has been struck by a vehicle and killed.

The death occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. Police Capt. Mike Monsrud says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 41-year-old driver who hit the man is cooperating with authorities. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the State Patrol are investigating.
