The Hayfield girls basketball team couldn’t make enough plays down the stretch as it lost 47-43 to Kasson-Mantorville (13-4 overall, 8-0 HVL) in Kasson Tuesday.

The Vikings (13-3 overall, 7-1 HVL) missed a go-ahead three-pointer when the score was tied with 1:30 left and KM’s Kristen Scott scored to put KM up 45-43 with 37 seconds left in the game. Hayfield had two final shots at tying the game before KM put the game away at the free throw line.

Olivia Matti scored 19 points and hit five three-pointers for the Vikings.
