The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team had a tough time avoiding fouls as it lost 78-62 at Schaeffer Academy (10-3 overall, 8-1 SEC) in Rochester Friday.
The Athletics (5-5 overall, 4-4 SEC) were already playing without Brady Lester had four players foul out and two more players picked up four fouls. The Athletics were called for a total of 32 fouls in the loss and the Lions had 15 fouls called on them.
“We played hard and we did a lot of good things without Brady in the lineup,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “Our guys were flying around and playing what I thought was pretty good defense. It’s unfortunate that it was called that way, but it was and we’ve got to make adjustments I guess.”
Kamis Kuku had 11 points, nine rebounds, five assists and six steals of the LP.
