Cougars down Packer boys hockey team

The Austin boys hockey team continued to suffer second period woes as it lost 6-1 to Mankato East (10-5-3 overall, 6-3 Big Nine) on the road Tuesday.
The Packers (8-10 overall, 5-8 Big Nine) took a 1-0 lead in the first period when Kory Potach scored on an assist from Isaac Arnold, who has returned from an injury he sustained in the season opener.
The Cougars put the game away when they responded with five goals in the second period.
Noah Bawek had 33 saves for Austin.
