The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team picked up a 57-46 win over Medford (5-9 overall, 3-5 Gopher) on the road Tuesday.
Marissa Larson had 24 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks for BP (9-8 overall, 4-3 Gopher) and McKenna Hein had six points, 12 rebounds and three steals.
BP closed the first half on a 12-0 run to take control.
“A big key was our rebounding tonight. This has been a point of emphasis for us and it carried us to the win,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “Many girls contributed on the glass with not only getting the boards, but also boxing out, pursuing the ball, and sometimes just getting a fingertip on the ball to deflect it.”
BP 27 30 — 57
Medford 20 26 — 46
BP scoring: Marissa Larson, 24; Sam Wurst, 14; McKenna Hein, 12; Ayren Ingvalson, 4; Megan Oswald, 3
