Best Bets: A whole lot of shaking going on at Paramount

There will be a whole lot of shakin’ going on Saturday, when the Denny and the D. C. Drifters Dance Party comes to the stage of the Historic Paramount Theater at 7:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Austin Area Commission for the Arts.
Denny Charnecki and troupe will present a “six in one” performance, featuring tributes to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P. “Big Bopper” Richardson, Elvin Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Tina Turner.
Local talent will include well-known performer Dylan Kaercher and 15-year-old Mower County Fair yodeling sensation, Chloe Guttormson.
The box office will open at 6 p.m. and doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
