The Austin wrestling team took fifth place in the 14-team Plainview-Elgin-Millville Invite Saturday.

Isaac Arjes won the 220-pound championship and he is now 15-1 overall on the season.

“Isaac wrestled a very good tournament. He dictated every match from start to finish,” Austin head coach Jer Osgood said. “In his finals match he was able to pin the No. 10 ranked wrestler from Winona. This was a tough tournament and for him to come out on top is quite an accomplishment.”

Eli Marks, Corey Waller, and Jayden Erie all finished in third as they wrestled above their seed.

“Jayden’s style of wrestling is relentless as he is always pushing the pace and looking for opportunities to score,” Austin head coach Jer Osgood said. “Eli and Corey continue to become more and more confident as the season progresses.”

Aiden Wilson took fourth for the Packers and Kole Igou took fifth.
