Mullenbach’s buzzer beater lifts Rebels over Kingsland

The Southland boys basketball team made a big play at the end of the game to beat Kingsland (0-1 overall) 71-70 on the road Tuesday.
After the Knights missed two free throws with eight seconds left, Southland’s Garrett Mullenbach came up with an inside score at the buzzer to win the game. Mullenbach finished with 18 points in the win for the Rebels (1-0 overall).
“It was a good win. We’re trying a little different style this year and we have some new faces,” Southland head coach Matt Webber said. “It was a back and forth game.”
Chris Webber had two points, five assists and 10 rebounds for Southland.
