The Austin wrestling team lost 37-30 at Faribault Thursday.
Gavin Brady came back from a big hole to get a pin at 126 pounds for the Packers (3-5 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) and Josh Belden came up with a big pin at 145 pounds.
“I was very impressed with Gavin’s mental toughness throughout this match. It is very easy to give up when you are down early, but he continued to stay mentally strong and got the win,” Austin head coach Jer Osgood said. “Josh continues to improve week to week. He walks into every match with the expectation that he is going to win.”
Osgood was pleased with the overall effort that the Packers put forth against Faribault.
“I was very happy with the way this team fought for the entire six minutes,” he said. “We must take this loss, build upon it, and continue to improve.”
