The Austin City Council will welcome a new officer and discuss the costs of a 2017 bridge project at its Monday meetings.
First, the council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of City Hall, 500 Fourth Ave. NE, for its regularly scheduled meeting.
The council will meet new officer Seth Denzer, discuss the city receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, establish various licensing and operational fees for 2017 and more.
Then in a work session to follow, the council will discuss a breakdown of the construction costs for the 11th Drive Northeast project to replace the bridge over Interstate 90.
The city has requested that a bike trail, sidewalk approaches, landscaping and aesthetics be included as part of the Vision 2020 Gateway to Austin’s Visual Quality Manual.
