Two people were cited for stealing Donald Trump-Mike Pence signs as Election Day dawned.

Jose Aut Alejo Phomsoukha, 18, and a 17-year-old female were caught taking the signs after a local Republican put a GPS tracking unit in one of the signs.

Austin police located the two near Taco John’s on East Oakland Avenue, and found the two with several trump signs, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi.

They were cited and released.

Dozens of Trump-Pence signs went missing during the campaign season, and local Republicans have spent weeks looking for the culprits and taking measures to safe lock their signs.

Many took their signs in overnight, while others fastened them to their homes or trees.

According to Amazi, Phomsoukha and the teen also took and dumped a trail camera from a property.

Though two were caught, Amazi admitted they were likely not responsible for all the reported incidents.

Local Republicans say the two taken do not match the description of a man caught on a trail camera last month.
