James Duane Anderst, 63, of Minnetrista, Minnesota, died at Hennepin County Medical Center on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
James was born Jan. 11, 1953, in Austin, Minnesota, to Delbert and Barbara (Chase) Anderst. He graduated from Austin High School, the home of the Packers, where he played football, wrestled, and ran track and filed. He then attended Winona State College for a year. He later moved to the Minneapolis area and was a lifelong area resident.
He worked as a master electrician, later became a business owner of the Narrows Saloon and was a member of Hamster USA bike club. He loved to travel, scuba dive and decorate his houses in “chic cowboy.” Most of all, he was a very kind person and loved all people no matter who they were. People loved him for his sense of humor and his big heart. He had a love of music and helped people fulfill their dreams as musicians. Jimmy was a visionary that people were jealous of.
He is survived by his, daughters, Alina, Lizzy and Katey; father and step-mother, Delbert and DarleneAnders of Lake City, Minnesota; sister, Connie Anderst of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brother, Gary Anderst (Robin) of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; and step-sister, Ronda Subia of Riverside, California.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Anderst; sister, Diana; and his grandparents.
Services will be 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at the Gales Woods Farm Pavilion 7210 County Rd. 110 in Minnetrista, Minnesota. The celebration of life will be officiated by Alan Naumann. Cremation has taken place.
