The Austin boys cross country team took ninth and the Packer girls took eighth at the 11-team Ev Berg Invite in Owatonna Thursday.

Abby Lewis took third for the Packer girls and Henry Hinchcliffe took eighth for the Packer boys. It was the first time Hinchcliffe had finished in the top-10 of a major race.

Morgan Hose finished 26th for the Austin girls.

“Morgan had her best race in a couple of years,” Austin head coach Tony Einertson said.
