Jean (Giavannia) Osland, 94, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.

Jean was born July 13, 1922, in Paterson, New Jersey to Giuseppe and Rachal Collodel. She married Donald Osland on July 21, 1945. He died on July 28, 1996.

Survivors include four sons: Dean (Bonnie) Osland of Scottsdale, Arizona, Gary (Carlos Bardelas) Osland of New York City, Danti (Penny) Osland of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Greg (Diane) Osland of Rochester, Minnesota; eight grandchildren: Sheri Osland of Hudson, Wisconsin, Casey (Tim Johnson) Jorgenson of Madison Lake, Minnesota, Rachele (Keith) Shelley of Huntington Beach, California, Nicholas (Jeremy Viken) Jorgenson of Minneapolis, Matthew Osland of Cottage Grove, Gretchen (Mitch) Weber of Farmington, Minnesota, Katherine Osland of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, Jennifer Osland of Rochester; five great-grandchildren: Kale Shelley and Kai Shelley of Huntington Beach, California, Harlan Sinclair and Evelyn Sinclair of St. Peter, Minnesota, Cash Gansen of Texas City, Texas; two sisters: Zaba Koskie of Delray Beach, Florida, Tuffy Cannon of Virginia Beach, Virginia; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Debra Schiesser and Gina Jorgenson; two sisters: Pearl Maguire and Violet Moesch.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Raul Silva officiating. There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary on Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
