A two-car crash at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and 11th Street Northeast in Austin Thursday night could lead to DWI charges for one driver.
At about 4:46 p.m., a black 1970 Chevy Impala turned from Eighth Avenue and hit a White Nissan with North Carolina plates.
The 56-year-old driver of the Impala took a Breathalyzer and failed, accordinding to Police Chief Brian Krueger, and the driver agreed to take a urine test. Upon the results, he could be charged with fourth-degree DWI, Krueger said.
Gold Cross ambulance responded to the scene to check on the two people in the Nissan, but neither of them was transported to the hospital.
