A pair of Lyle-Pacelli athletes earned trips to the Class A state meet at the Section 1A preliminary meet in Triton Tuesday.

LP senior Sarah Holtz earned her third straight trip to state in the high jump as she won the Section 1A meet with a height of 5-4 and LP freshman Kayla Christopherson earned her first trip to the state track and field meet in the 1600-meter run as she took second with a time of 11:19.72.

Holtz took fourth in the state high jump last year and Christopherson has run in the Class A state cross country meet three straight years.
