We have classes, activities and events to keep your child engaged and entertained all summer long.

Artistic endeavors like drama camp, painting and music classes will tap their creative side. Krystal Lennie is offering youth, adult and family paint and make studios for all level of artists. These fun and engaging studios will teach the basics as well as challenge the already talented artists.

Chess, video game designing and math adventures keep the intellectual juices flowing and strength training, fencing, golf and extreme games will keep students active. Chess is a game of strategy and thinking that can be learned by a child of any age.

Math adventures will focus on origami, logic puzzles, tessellations and more to heighten critical thinking skills.

Fencing is an activity that many youth have only seen on TV. Students will be provided with all the equipment and protective attire to keep them safe while they learn the “sport of the intellectual athlete.”

Intro to golf and sports skills will give students opportunities to try their hand at new activities that may spark an interest for them.

Home Alone is the perfect class for students that think they are old enough to be home without an adult. They think it will be fun and exciting, but in reality they might be scared or anxious. This class will help them be confident in how to handle safety, injury, unexpected circumstances and issues that arise from loneliness and boredom.

For students who want to care for others our babysitting class will provide them with all the skills they need to start their own small business.

Community Education teams up with community organizations to provide even more activities at the summer lunch program including a Readers Café that is located at I. J. Holton and Austin High School with books, games and other fun activities.
