The Blooming Prairie boys golf team took second place out of 13 teams on the first day of the Section 1A meet in Rochester Wednesday.

Tommy Braaten shot a 73 and is in first place overall for the BP boys, who have a team score of 336. Lewiston-Altura was first with a 331.

Hayfield is sixth with a 359, GMLO is 10th with a 390 and Southland is 11th with a 423.

Taylor Christianson shot an 81 for the BP girls and she is in send overall. Jessica Ressler shot a 107 for the BP girls.
