The twelve finalists have been named in the 2016 Princess Kay competition at the Minnesota State Fair in August.

Candidates from across Minnesota gathered Sunday at St. Cloud State University where the 12 Princess Kay finalists were announced.

Mower County representative is 19-year-old Stephanie Sukalski.

Princess Kay is the dairy princess who is selected to represent the dairy industry across Minnesota. Princess Kay and county dairy princesses make appearances to raise awareness of the efforts of dairy farmers and the products they offer. The contest is sponsored by the Minnesota Dairy Association.

The finalists are based on their involvement in the dairy community and communication skills.
